Winter experiences for ski tourers
The tried and true is never wrong
Our ski touring evenings, which take place every Thursday starting January 6, 2022, have already become a tradition. The blue ski run on the Hartkaiser in Ellmau is open for ski tourers from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and offers a special opportunity to safely practice this popular winter sport. Thanks to the evening opening times, the ski tour is the perfect way to bring your day to an end!
You can enjoy fantastic views of the Wilder Kaiser and the magical sea of lights in the valley that twinkle under the starry sky, which shines particularly bright since the slope is not lit: every ski tourer is responsible for their own safety.
FACTS:
- Ascent: ca. 700 vertical meters
- Length: 3.8 km
- Duration: ca. 2 hrs.
- ATTENTION: The slope is not lit!
Tourers are responsible for their own safety
From 10:00 pm, the slope is closed without exception, and we ask that you abide by these times – there is risk of death due to slope preparation work!
And we mean this literally: awaiting you on the Hartkaiser at an elevation of 1,550 meters is a world of culinary enjoyment! During the ski touring evenings, the KaiserLounge is open until 9:30 pm and provides hard-working tourers with refreshing drinks or soothing hot drinks as well as delicious delicacies.
Guests of the KaiserLounge can enjoy traditional dishes as well as interpretations of modern cross-over cuisine. You can thus make sure you have replenished your energy for your ride back down into the valley!
The ski touring evening takes place weekly on Thursdays from 6:00 to 10:00 pm from January 6, 2022 to March 17, 2022. Due to the current situation and the developments concerning COVID-19, changes may occur at short notice, which we will of course publish on our website and our social media channels.
Never say never
Have you been thinking about finally going on your first ski tour but haven’t done it yet? Then give yourself a little push and just try it out!
However, you should be aware that without ski touring experience and without knowledge of avalanche dangers and snow conditions, you should not simply head out on your own but rather spend a wonderful day with a guide.
You are in the best hands with the Kaiser guides, who offer many other experiences for adrenaline junkies in addition to ski tours.
