Restricted lift operation (weather) - refund?
- It is not always possible for all lifts/slopes in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental to be in continuous operation at all times. It is generally known that such minor restrictions can occur every year, although the majority of services are still available in any case.
Should this occur, the customer can only claim a pro rata refund of the costs of a "SkiWelt Winter Card" under the following conditions: - In the period from 08.12.2023 at the earliest and until 01.04.2024 at the latest, use of the "SkiWelt Winter Card" was generally only possible on a total of fewer than 70 days and the customer used the "SkiWelt Winter Card" on fewer than 14 days during this period. Under these conditions, a pro rata refund of the costs of the "SkiWelt Winter Card" will be made by the selling cable car. In this case, the customer will be reimbursed 1/14 (one fourteenth) of these costs per unused day (limited to the amount of the costs paid by the customer).
When am I entitled to a refund?
- If the customer does not wish to use his/her ski pass on individual days of its validity period or is unable to use it due to circumstances within his sphere of influence, these days will not be (proportionately) refunded, replaced or credited.
- If the customer is prevented from (further) use of their ski pass due to accident or illness, there is no entitlement to a (pro rata) refund. However, SkiWelt can grant a pro-rata refund for multi-day tickets with a period of use of more than three days on presentation of a confirmation from a registered doctor (that the customer can no longer practice winter sports for the remaining period of validity) and on return of the ticket before the expiry of the period of validity as a goodwill gesture in the event of winter sports accidents; however, there is no legal entitlement to this.
- A processing fee of EUR 15.00 will be charged for processing such a pro rata refund after an accident or in the event of illness.
- This goodwill refund cannot be granted for one-way tickets.
What should I do if I discover a person who has had an accident?
- In an emergency, every person is obliged to provide first aid.
- Secure the accident site as quickly as possible.
- Organize help and initiate the rescue chain. International emergency number: 112.
Are cards transferable? What happens in the event of card misuse?
- Tickets are not transferable. Any misuse of a ski pass (e.g. use of the service without a valid ticket, disregard of the instructions necessary for safe operation, reckless or dangerous behavior despite warnings, use of a discounted ski pass without meeting the requirements, etc.) will result in its withdrawal, whereby any remaining days of the ski pass validity period will not be (proportionately) refunded, replaced or credited.
- In addition, a penalty of EUR 500.00 will be charged for such misuse and the right to file a criminal complaint is reserved.
What should I do if I have lost my ski pass?
- Replacement passes will be issued for lost ski passes if proof of purchase is provided by the customer. A processing fee of EUR 15.00 (plus ticket deposit) will be charged for the issue of a replacement pass.
